Digmax introduces sequel to Adventures in National Palace Museum

November 11, 2011; Taipei, Taiwan – Digimax Inc., a leading CG animation studio, today unveiled “Adventures in National Palace Museum 2” animated short film, the sequel to the popular series. The film is played in stereoscopic 3D format and incorporated the latest graphics technology.

In “Adventures in National Palace Museum 2”, the protagonist Zen-Er, a Song Dynasty ceramic doll, once again comes to life for some mischievous adventures. Along with his best buds, Yu-Ya and Pi Xie, Zen-Er will “travel into” several classical landscape paintings to provide a visual feast as well as a fun guide to the Chinese artistic culture.

In addition to the animation short, Digimax “digitized” National Palace Museum’s two most famous long scroll paintings from the Qing and Ming Dynasties. The digital versions are presented via four state-of-the-art projectors and an eight-meter long display. With cutting-edge CG technology, content and computer hardware integration, Digimax brought the painstakingly detailed paintings to life, offering audiences different point of views to the masterpieces.
