Digimax participates in 3D commercial films for Taipei Film Festival
May 19, 2010; Taipei, Taiwan – Digimax Inc. and Taipei Film Festival today jointly announced a stereoscopic 3D commercial film for the movie event. The promotional film is a fusion of 3D live action and 3D animation innovations, taking Taiwan’s CG and movie production technologies to the next level.
Taiwan’s film industry has strong and professional 3D capability, and Digimax’s animated films are also highly regarded internationally, said renowned director and Taipei Film Festival commissioner Hou Hsiao Hsien.
“I want to thank the festival for bringing the best talents in Taiwan together,” said Helen Huang, Digimax chairman. “The commercial film is an important milestone for Taiwan’s movie industry in terms of both 3D technology and story creativity.”
Planning and production of the commercial film lasted five months and the company encountered numerous obstacles along way, especially in merging live action and animated sequences. However, with both strong internal resources and external collaborations, Digimax was able to create a high-quality stereoscopic short film for the annual movie festival.
